Travel makes you wiser.

The folks you meet, the ones you greet leave you with words that stay with you forever. Simple statements made by the everyday guys are quite often weighted with significance. They convey the very essence of life. I present the ones that have captured my mind, heart and soul!

Lifelong learning from 5 amazing folks;

My autistic son and physically challenged daughter, inspire me to work hard each day. If life gives me another chance, I wouldn’t want it any different. I love the way my life is and would love to live it all over again, as is.                                                                   (A lady cabbie in Binghamton. She drove us to our destination that evening and as chance would have it back to our place of stay. Remarkable isn’t it?)

If all I do is earn, earn and earn more, when do I get time to spend it? I’ll remain busy for the rest of my life! Before I know it life would have passed by and my son too old to travel with me!                                                                                                                                 (Another cabbie, NYC, scheduled to take a cruise with his son, the very next day after ferrying me)

With no hurdles, there’s no adventure and life’s no fun at all! I love to take them head on and laugh all the way!                                                                                                                            (A fellow traveller on the bus who is a researcher, writer and student at Syracuse)

Am 84 but hale and hearty. I am retired but not tired and would love to earn on the go, while I can. That’s why I chose to become an uber person. Use it when I want to drive and earn on the side.                                                                                                                       (An amazingly agile gentleman who sprang to open the door as he dropped me at the bus station in the last leg of my travel journey)

Let’s hop in, you and I and give it another chance to behave itself. It has to, considering there are the two of us against the single creature! It can’t refuse us both. We are strong, aren’t we?                                                                                                                              ( A complete stranger with her pup in arm at the door of an elevator that refused to take us to the floor we needed to get to)
